Busy few days

As Tom Petty once put it "if you never slow down you never grow old" so i am probably ageing in reverse this week:
Sat/Sunday - Andrew & Laura's wedding. Up at 8 to watch Wales v New Zealand, then Rhys drove us up to Usk for the wedding. Fantastic time and I couldn't be happier for them.

Sunday we drove down to Chepstow for some ice-cream, not too sure how that one works, and ended up on the race course for a car-boot sale and market. Got home in the afternoon and tried to sleep for a bit before

Sun/Monday - Left at about 11 and Me, Huw and Stu drove down to Stonehenge for the Solstice. Random time full of drum circles, druids and drunks. Not great when your sober, tired and driving but a great experience, will just need to plan a bit better in future, and hope someone else drives :)

And now i should be packing for Glastonbury but the budget is about to start and I am more interested in updating this blog... lets see how well this works out for me

Life, the universe and other things that suck

my life sucks, its official.  had a very blah day at work, mouse refused to work, other things kept going minorly wrong and it has all built up now that its not even 10 i've just drunk a large bottle of perry (not even cider) and some stella whilst watching skins (kids having more fun than i ever did or will again) my name is earl and smackdown.  i'm now just listening to music and feeling very down.

I havent spoken to my housemate in over a month because she has a less than cool boyfriend and she just locks herself away in her room all of the time and im feeling bitter because i tidied up downstairs and dont think that ill get any credit for it, even though i dont deserve any.  and i think plans are now underway to move else places.  its not that i dont enjoy living in cardiff its just that it does now seem incredibly far when we barely go out in town and i end up back in miskin most weekends anyway.

Also i bottled it with Jenny when i was back in aber last weekend.  she seems to have moved on a lot, so much more out going than ever before and i just feel like i would be holding her back or something, although i couldnt explain this at the time.  the worst thing is that i now accept that however much i loved being at aber uni it is now not a great time unless i drink, which just makes me less than sociable with the people im there to see.  i cant open up ithout a drink or two but once ive passed that point theres o return and i drink too much.

And i fancy Adie which is a little weird seeing as shes Huws friend and i have no way of speaking to her really.  I just cant get he out of my head

Skins

As much Lost as i watched yesterday it was the 3o mins of Skins that stuck in my very tired mind all day... Didn't think i would like the 2nd Generation aspect of it but having watched the first episode i think it is inspired, instead of following the same bunch off to uni and finding ways to keep them all together they started with the younger siblings class, excellent.

Now i just need As If to be released on DVD, was the Skins equivalent from 2002 ish, great when it was on TV but haven't seen it in so long i really want to see it again.  Maybe one day...

Forget lost weekends, it was Lost Sunday

Sunday 25th January - 0700 hours awoke to give Tim a lift to the station, far too early but have a big day planned.

Back home and bed - watched all of Lost season 4, all 14 episodes... in a row, then the new season started at nine so another two episodes there... Fucking A

That wasn't the end of the day tho because at 1am it was time for the Royal Rumble. Nice twist with Jeff Hardy and the surprise entrant of RVD was inspired, shame no Christian Cage tho.

Accidents & Emergencies

Don't ask me why but at some point on Saturday night it seemed like an appropriate time to visit A&E.  We had bee to the Dynevor Arms in Groes Faen and had a reasonable time, very enjoyable prawn curry, not so enjoyable rum when Huw's knee began to play up.  From then on it all goes a little hazy but from what i recall we caught a bus to Royal Glam but still had a fair old walk to the entrance which Huw seemed incapable of... so i tried to give him a piggy back only i wasnt so stable on my feet and promptly fell over, face got a little bit grazed but knowing my track record i wasn't holding out much hope, must have been funny for the receptionist - my brother has hurt his knee and i seem to have fallen on my face, woops.  So ive managed to graze all down the left side of my head (i'll up a pic when i get the chance) and have a swollen lip but its nothing on the last time so it could have been worse.
Work was horrible today, felt rotten and had to put up with sarky comments from Steve about the great Arthur Gate and M&S and how he would have been put on disciplinary.  I felt like walking out but bit my tongue for a bit but finally snapped back which probably didn't help but what did he expect.  Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
